Cancellation Policy

Cancellations/amendments made after 12 midday, 24hrs prior to the check-in date: One night’s room rate will be charged to the guest’s credit card used to guarantee the reservation.

Terms, Conditions and Privacy Policy

Check-In & Check-Out

Check in time is 3pm on the day of arrival and the property is to be vacated by 11am on the day of departure. Early arrivals and late check-outs are at the discretion of Management and must be requested at the time of booking. If you require any assistance, please call the Avon Homestay team with your concerns, they are available anytime.

Number of Guests​

The number of guests staying is not to exceed 2 people per room. Unless you have booked the family room, which includes 2 adults and 2 children under 12.

Fires

Fireplaces may only be used if you agree to follow this policy. You will be held liable for any damage you cause.
Purpose

1. To improve your safety, and the safety of others staying in the hotel,

2. Reduce the risk of fire and damage to this heritage-listed building, and

3. Avoid unnecessary Fire Brigade call-outs and building evacuations.

Please do NOT light the fire and then leave the room. It is unsafe to leave a burning fire unattended. It is also unsafe to leave children alone with a burning fire. Before leaving the room, please extinguish your burning fire. Our advice is to light the fire when you are back in the room after dinner (or an outing).

If a fire is burning or smoking, the fire screen MUST be in front of the fire to prevent burning wood, ash or cinders falling out of the fire and coming into contact with other wood, floors, mantelpieces and soft furnishings.
Fires may only be lit by an adult.

Please limit the number of logs you place in the open-fireplaces to 2 logs at any time. If you use too many logs, the fire may damage the tiles behind the fireplace. Fireplaces are not intended to provide you with room heating, they are mostly for visual effect. We have central heating, room heaters and electric blankets to keep you warm.

We provide a limited wood supply, so guests may experience the rare joy of an open and controlled fire in their room.

Noise

If guests have visitors, please limit the number to two adults and be mindful of noise. Visitors must leave by 9pm. Disturbance to other guests and neighbours including excessive noise, music and unruly behaviour is prohibited. If a noise complaint is received; a first warning will be given. If a second complaint is received, the owner has the right to ask the guest to leave the property without a refund. If using Television, please be mindful of other guests and keep volume down after 9:00 PM.

Pet Policy

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept pets. No pets are permitted on the property at any time. If a guest brings a pet, we will request that they remove the pet from the property, otherwise they will be asked to leave the property with no refund.

Pool

The pool area is open daily 0700hrs to 2100 hrs. Proper swimming costume is a must for using the swimming pool facilities. Children below 14 years must be accompanied by an adult in swimwear. Children swimming with inflated teaching aid need strict supervision by the parents. No Glassware is permitted in the pool area. Diving is Strictly prohibited as it can lead to injury. Any person suffering from a known serious medical condition (e.g. heart disease, severe circulation problems, epilepsy or respiratory problems) should not use the Swimming Pool. A person under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted in the pool complex or in the surrounding area.

Smoking

Essentially, this is a non-smoking property. If a guest requires to smoke, then we request that you smoke outside with mindfulness to the forest surrounding and others. All cigarette butts must be picked up and disposed of. Strictly NO SMOKING inside. Guests who do not abide by the smoking policy will also not be able to secure a repeat booking.

Cleaning & Rubbish Disposal

Rooms must be left in the condition they were in upon guest's arrival. Avon Homestay has supplied three outside bins for general waste, recycle material and bottles. We encourage people to use the correct bins to support sustainable practice.

Lost or Damaged Keys

Please note: Cost of $50.00 if you need a key replacement.

Personal Items

We do not take responsibility for any loss, damage or destruction to any personal property brought onto these premises. Personal property includes any personal effects and motor vehicles.

Privacy Policy

Avon Homestay respects your right to privacy under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act), in particular the 13 Australian Privacy Principles which deal with the collection, management and disclosure of your personal information. Springwood is committed to protecting your personal information.​ Please immediately report any damage which occurs during your stay.

Payment Policy

100% deposit required on booking. If payment is not received, Aon Homestay reserves the right to cancel your booking. Rates quoted are in Australian dollars and are subject to change at any time. Rates are inclusive of GST where applicable. Any verbal quote given is an estimate only of price, which will be subject to written advice on confirmation of the booking. Preferred method of payment is Visa or Mastercard or a Direct Bank Transfer, which will not incur any fee. American Express is accepted and will incur a 2% surcharge. Credit card -Overseas guests must use a credit card facility. Overseas bank transfers are not accepted. Any refunds will only be refunded to the original card used for the booking.
